UCMAS Academy of Mental Arithmetic, in collaboration with the China Zhusuan Association (China Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Association), organises an international abacus and mental arithmetic grading examination twice every year.

The grading examination is in line with the main objectives of:

*Elevating the academic standard of Abacus Reckoning & Mental Arithmetic in Malaysia;

 

*Advocating the learning of Abacus Reckoning & Mental Arithmetic in order to enhance mental capability; and

 

*Affirming one's capability in Abacus Reckoning & Mental Arithmetic.

 

The grading examination scheme assesses UCMAS students on their capability in Abacus Reckoning & Mental Arithmetic. Each paper varies from Grade 1 to Grade 10 to Grand Level, in which the Grand Level marks the highest achievement of the examination.
Examination results will be classified into the grades of DISTINCTION, CREDIT, PASS and FAIL. All certificates will be awarded to students who have passed the examination.
